Sunday morning, 13th March, you have two options: you stand in line in the cold for some dry pistolets at the bakery, or you can enjoy the warmth of M while taking a closer look at masterpieces from the collection, such as 'The Sower' by Constantin Meunier. Option two, moreover, is under the musical guidance of occasional ensembles consisting of students from the Jazz department of LUCA - School of Arts. Due to corona, which you probably heard of, the students could hardly play together. Especially for Leuven Jazz 2022, they join forces to showcase their artistic projects, and this in the collection of M. During one hour, three ensembles alternate: Jonah Hermans (piano), Jentl Vandamme (trombone) and Lander Rutten (drums) play in the collection presentation 'Take your time', Nele Uyttendaele (vocalist & bassist) and Elly Brouckmans (alto saxophone) do so in ‘Moved', and Bruno De Smet (piano), Stijn Claeysier (drums) and Flore Wylin (vocalist) round off in ‘Form first'. Enjoyed enough art and music? Your ticket gives access to the entire museum, including the newest exhibition Wael Shawky.
